The Jamaica Rifle Association (JRA) has been formally affiliated with the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA/IPSC) since 1992, and regularly holds matches under current USPSA rules.

Several USPSA National Range Officers Institute (NROI) training seminars have been held at the JRA over the years, with visiting instructors including John Hurst (L1-1996), John Amidon (L1-2007), Ray Hirst (L1-2014), and the current Director NROI Troy McManus (L2-2015).
